I had a stress-free check-in experience at this hotel, despite there being no reception. The telephone system in the entrance worked smoothly, and someone was there to help me when my card didn't work. The location was great, with easy access to the main station and the tram system. The apartment was well-equipped and modern, with a fully equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom and shower. The hotel also provided free amenities, such as wifi and a phone, and there was good communication with the staff.

The 'Apartment' style of the hotel meant you could come and go as you pleased, and prepare a snack, drink or breakfast to your own timetable in the kitchenette in each room. We were in Essen to visit Messe Essen for a car show, and not being tied to a timetable for meals etc., was very useful for us. Very close to the tram-stop for easy travel throughout the city, using Essen's excellent public transport system.

Slightly disconcerting that the hotel reception is actually 1.5 km away, in another building! As it turned out, this was not really a problem, except that we arrived in Essen quite late - our own fault, of course, and the Night Manager at the hotel was most helpful and it really wasn't any difficulty; but since the trams stop at 10:45 pm, we ended up incurring a small expense in taxis!

Another advantage is that it is next to a tram stop, making it convenient for guests to get around. Additionally, the rooms are equipped with full kitchens, providing guests with the option to cook their own meals.

No significant issues found, everything was satisfactory.

The location of the Hotel is simply perfect.

The apartment was modern and clean with a nice bathroom, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our Easter stay. The location was great, close to a tram stop and a supermarket, which made it easy to get around and have quick meals.

The area was quite noisy at night, which made it hard to sleep. We also found it confusing to navigate the different buildings of the hotel chain and were disappointed to discover that our bed was actually two single beds pushed together, instead of a larger bed as we had expected.

the room is big, new and comfortable, and equipped with small kitchen. the bathroom is modern and clean.

no free wifi. 5 hours wifi cost 5 euros. the staff after 9 or 10pm didn't have much English ability, so it was difficult to communicate with the night shift staff when we had questions. the daytime/early evening staff are fine. the city apartment is located 1km away from the main house, so it is slightly inconvenient.

The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, exceeding basic European standards. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. The reception being accessible through a phone at the entrance was convenient, especially for late arrivals. the Lidl store nearby was a convenient option and stayed open until 9pm.

The location of the hotel is excellent-10 minutes' walk from the city centre. It is above a Lidl supermaket, so shopping is superb and 2 minutes' walk there is a little shopping centre. No private parking, but parking in the street is safe and there is always space free of charge. It is near a busy road, but the rooms are quite. Staff is helpful. Spacious appartment with a good shower/massage cabin. And there is always hot water!!!

You get a clean room, however while staying there, daily cleaning is not the best. There is no lift, so with heavy luggage it is problematic. There are no hangers in the bathroom, so if you use a towel there's nowhere to hang it. If you are not German, be prepared for 'German' heating (which means cold room). There is no reception so read your booking confirmation well, as your room (and breakfast if you want one) is not in the building where the reception is.

The apart hotel rooms are very clean, modern and suspicious, however we got the quest rooms which are located about 1.5 km from the main hotel in a residential area, so not very hand if you want to go out for a meal/breakfast, best if you have a transportation. There is however a supermarket right under the deportment/room and the apartment is equip with microwave and tea and coffee facilities.
